Welcome to Government Degree College, Pihani, Hardoi. The foundation stone of this premier institute was laid in the year 1996 and the College started its functioning in the year 2000 with a maiden batch of 131 students. Located approximately 25 kms away from Hardoi city at the triangular crossing of Shahabad and 2 kms away from Pihani town, the college is strateically located to cater to the academic needs of students belonging to the nearby rural areas.

The college offers co-education and is affiliated to the University of Lucknow, Lucknow and is covered under 2f & 12b under the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi.

At present, the college offers Bachelors' degree in faculties of Arts (Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Economics, Political Science, Sociology and Physical Education), Science & Commerce at the undergraduate level and at the Post Graduat level the college offers M.A. in Sociology with regular classes by learned and qualified faculty members.

Apart from the academic courses, the college also offers extra curricular activities like National Service Scheme (NSS), Rangers Rovers, cultural activities and annual sports for the holistic development of the students.
